Dandelion Therapeutic Action

Dandelion Home Remedies
♣ Dandelion infusion
Prepared correctly, the infusion is a true elixir for liver and kidney, a natural depurative for the whole body, helping to eliminate toxins efficiently. It is obtained by mixing 10 g (2 tsp) dried plant (aerial part made of leaves) and 250 ml water (a cup). After boiling, cover the pot and leave it to infuse for 10 minutes. Finally, strain and drink. It is important not to sweeten the tea with sugar. If, however, the taste seems unpleasant, you can use honey or brown sugar.
The recommended dose is two cups a day, one in the morning, on an empty stomach and one at night before bed. A three-week course will have positive effects on the entire body, its action being evident as the skin becomes firmer and smoother.
♣ Dandelion Decoction
In a cup of water (250 ml) place two tablespoons (30 grams) of dried and shredded dandelion root. Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes, as the water gradually evaporates. Once filtered, can be stored in the refrigerator no more than two days.
The recommended dose is 30 ml (2 teaspoons) three times a day before each meal. Continue with the cure for three weeks and may resume after a week of rest. Other therapeutic effects: the cure with dandelion root decoction significantly contribute to the normalization of blood flow and heart rate and is a valuable aid in liver cirrhosis, cystitis and disorders of the thyroid gland. Decoction contribute to the elimination of kidney stones as it is a good diuretic.
♣ Dandelion Tonic for liver and kidney
15 g of dried dandelion root (about a tablespoon), 30 g dried chicory root (about 2 tablespoons), 15 g juniper berries, 1 litre of water.
Preparation and dosage: Dandelion, chicory and juniper mix in an enamel bowl which is on the stove. Pour hot water over the herbs and boil it for 15 minutes, then strain the liquid. The tonic drink can be preserved in the refrigerator, the recommended dose is 30 ml (two teaspoons) three times a day.
Therapeutic Effects: It is indicated especially when toxins are concentrated and crystallized in the liver or kidney stone. The tonic is also recommended for those suffering from diabetes, the active ingredients of juniper serving to reduce blood sugar levels and stimulate diuresis.
Warning: The tonic is not recommended for those suffering from severe kidney disease because the kidneys may cause irritation juniper.
♣ Therapeutic Spa
Dandelion is good for relaxation and elimination of toxins as the skin is one of the body’s detoxification filters. Prepare first a concentrated infusion from 300 g of dry dandelion and two litres of water. Bring it to boil and let it simmer for another 20 minutes. Filter it and pour it into the bath. Take a relaxing bath for about one quarter of an hour, and repeat it 2-3 times a week.
♣ Face mask with clay and dandelion
It is obtained by mixing 2 tablespoons of powdered clay with dandelion decoction (prepared as described above recipe) until obtaining a thick paste that can be spread on the face and neck. Allow the mask to act for 15 minutes, after which it can be removed by washing with warm infusion of chamomile. For dry skin need to add a spoonful of olive oil to the initial mixture.
Clay has potent anti-toxic, antibacterial and refreshing. Mineral salts contained therein are exceptionally refreshing effect on the skin and also hasten the elimination of toxins and dead cells.
