Grandma’s Tips: How to stay healthy, fit and strong

Tip 1: When you feel tired/lacking energy/physical exhausted

  • Prepare a bath at room temperature and add to the water 4-5 teaspoon of bicarb soda.
  • Soak in for 15 minutes.

You should come up fresh and revitalized.

 

 Tip2: Headaches and migraines

What to do :
  • Wash a couple of raw potatoes and cut them in thin slices
  • Apply raw potato slices on the forehead to get rid of headaches
  • Tie them with a scarf and keep them for 15 minutes

If you want to keep it for longer then use new slices.

Potato juice can also be of great help if the headache does not subside.

You can use a fruit processor or you can grate a couple of raw potatoes and squeeze the juice out of it. Use it three times a day

Tip3: Laryngitis and Sore Throat

What to do :

Cabbage leaves applied around the neck help relieve the sore throat in laryngitis.

  • Soften  2-3  leaves of cabbage in boiling water or just brush them with a bit of olive oil.
  • Wrap them around the neck and cover with a towel. Leave them on for a few hours.

Cabbage is known for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Also any relative of the cabbage such as Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli or lettuce may accelerate flushing out of the toxins from body tissue and can protect us from the cold attack.
